In compliance with direction given by Health, Medical Education & Family Welfare Deptt, Govt. of Jharkhand (Letter No.- 09/Chi.Maha.-07-01/2012-70(9) dated 18.02.2022) with respect to fee fixation for M.B.B.S. seats in Manipal Tata Medical College, Jamshedpur for reserved category (EWS, SC, ST, BC-I, BC-II) candidates, they have to respond during choice filling “Yes” for reserved category seats; “No” for unreserved category seats. & and “None” for making reserved category as the first choice and unreserved category as the 2nd choice in case reserved seat is unavailable. However, in such cases fees fixed for unreserved categories will be applicable.

Jharkhand NEET Counselling Eligibility Criteria

Jharkhand NEET Online Application Forms are invited for preparing the State Merit List for conducting the Counselling for admission in different courses, i.e. MBBS/BDS of Medical Colleges/Institutes of Jharkhand State, from candidates who have qualified NEET (UG) 2021 & fulfilling the following eligibility criteria:-

Educational CriteriaThe Candidate must have passed in PCB/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in PCB/Bio-technology at the qualifying examination. Regarding the candidates belonging to SC, ST, BC-I or BC-II, the minimum marks obtained in PCB/Bio-technology taken together in qualifying examination shall be 40% instead of 50% marks for Unreserved General-EWS Candidates.
Regarding PwD candidates, the minimum marks in the qualifying examination in PCB (or Botany & Zoology)/Biotechnology taken together shall be 45% instead of 50%.
Residential CriteriaThe Candidate must be a citizen of India and a Local/Permanent resident of Jharkhand. The “Local Resident of Jharkhand” has been defined & identified in 7/Aa. Niti (Sarvdaliaye Baithak) 27/2002 (Khand)ka.-3198/, dated 18.04.2016 of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasa Department, Govt. of Jharkhand.
A candidate will have to upload a Local Resident Certificate in the proper format, issued by the competent authority [Circle Officer or Sub Divisional Officer – (Civil) or Dy. Commissioner of Jharkhand State]. The Notification copy is available under the Downloads column on the Board’s website.
The Residential Certificate issued by any other authority other than the prescribed format will not be entertained, and their claim will be rejected.
The Local Resident certificate format is available under Act & Circulars column on Board’s website.
Reservation on Caste BasisThe current reservation policy of Govt. of Jharkhand will be followed for admission in Institutes. Candidates claiming reservation will have to upload caste certificate in the proper format, issued by the competent authority [Circle Officer or Sub Divisional Officer — (Civil) or Dy. Commissioner of Jharkhand State]. 
The caste certificate issued by any other authority and in other than prescribed format will not be entertained for claiming reservation, and their claim for reservation will be rejected. Letter no. 14/Ja.Ni.-03-13/2015/Ka.-1754 dated 25.02.2019 of Deptt. Of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasha, Govt. of Jharkhand, Candidates belonging to BC – I & BC – II, will have to upload the caste certificate.
Caste certificate produced by BC -I & BC – II Candidates will be valid only if they do not belong to the creamy layer & it should be mentioned in the caste certificate.
The Notification copy & caste certificate format is available under Act & Circulars column on the Board’s website.
Reservation for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS)Candidates from Economically Weaker Sections can avail of reservation benefits as per Memorandum (Memo No.-14/Aa.Ni.-04-02/2019/Ka.-1434 Dated 15-02-2019) of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasa Department, Ranchi.
Candidates claiming reservation will have to upload Income & Assets Certificate in the proper format, issued by the competent authority [Circle Officer or Sub Divisional Officer — (Civil) or Dy. Commissioner of Jharkhand State].
The concerned Memorandum and format for the Certificate are uploaded on the Board’s Website.
Reservation for Person with DisabilitiesThe forgiving benefit of reservation to Divyang candidate, the provisions contained in clause- 8 of Resolution No.-2249 dated 03.04.2018 issued by Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasa Department, Ranchi will be followed.
Candidates claiming reservation will have to upload Disability Certificate in the proper format, issued by the competent authority [Chairman of the Medical Board & Countersigned by Medical Superintendent/Chief Medical Officer/ Head of the Hospital of Jharkhand State].
The concerned Memorandum and format of the Certificate are uploaded on the Board’s Website.
Reservation for Primitive Tribal Groups CandidatesCandidates from primitive tribal groups can avail of reservation benefits as per the Memorandum (Letter No. 5555 Dated 28.06.2016) of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasa Department, Ranchi. The concerned Memorandum is uploaded on the Board’s Website.
While filling up the online application form, the eligible candidates from reserved Category/Quota should claim benefits of reservation only when they already possess the concerned certificate issued in the proper format by the competent authority.

Jharkhand NEET Counselling 2021

A candidate can visit the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) to register for NEET 2021 Jharkhand State Counselling. Below we have mentioned step by step process of counselling.

Jharkhand NEET Counselling Procedure

  1. Candidates must check the Jharkhand NEET merit list declared on the official website JCECEB.
  2. Such candidates included in the merit list for Jharkhand NEET Counselling will have to report to the designated centre with essential documents for Jharkhand NEET counselling 2021.
  3. Candidates will have first to get their documents verified at the allotted centre, following which they will have to select their choice or preference of college and course, considering their rank in the state merit list.
  4. Those candidates who do not get any seat allotted for themselves in the first round of counselling for Jharkhand NEET will be eligible to participate in the subsequent rounds.

Counselling Process (AIQ Quota)

Candidates applying for Medical/Dental Colleges in Jharkhand must register for NEET counselling 2021. Counselling of NEET 2021 for All India Quota will be conducted in two rounds in online mode. The counselling will consist of these steps.

1. Candidate Registration: Register to the official website.

2. Choice Filling and Locking (Round 1): You have to choose the courses and colleges of your preference and finally lock in the preferences in the online portal.

3. Seat Allotment Result (Round 1): The seat allotment will be published online based on available vacancies and candidates choices.

4. Reporting to college: Those who will be allotted a seat in the first round will be required to either reject the allotted seat or report to the allotted college and complete the admission formalities.

5. New Registration (Round 2): For candidates who couldn’t register in the first round of counselling.

6. Fresh Choice Filling and Locking (Round 2): This is similar to round 1 mentioned above.

7. Seat Allotment Result (Round 2): This is similar to round 1 mentioned above.

8. Reporting to college (Round 2): Here, it is to be noted that those who will be allotted a seat in the second round of counselling (15% AIQ Quota) will not be permitted to vacate their seats as per the orders made by the Supreme court of India.

How to Apply

  • Step I: The candidate must visit the official website. 
  • Step 2: Click on the “New Registration” Option.
  • Step 3 (Personal Information): After the successful registration and activating account, candidates need to fill his/her personal information. Make sure all the information are correct while filling the application form.
  • Step 4 (Upload Photo and Signature): After entering the personal information, the candidate should upload his / her passport size photograph of high contrast (Photo must be snapped with placard containing candidate’s name and snapping date), and full signature in Hindi and English (Not in capital letter) after duly scanning the same. After uploading a photo and signature, click on the “Save & Continue” button.
  • Step 5 (Educational Information): After uploading the scanned photo and signature, the candidate should enter his / her educational information on the computer screen and click on the “Save & Continue” button.
  • Step 6 (Payment of Counselling Fee): After filling in all the required details, candidates need to proceed with the Counselling Fee payment. The counselling Fee will not be refunded.
    There are the following two modes for payment of Counselling Fee:
    a. Payment by Bank Challan: If the candidate wants to Pay Counselling Fee through Bank Challan, he/she should select offline / NEFT Challan option from Payment mode appearing on a computer screen and download the Challan and get the print and
    visiting any Bank up to scheduled last date, the Counselling Fee may be paid through NEFT mode.
    b. Online Payment: If the candidate wants to pay the Counselling Fee through Online mode, e.g. Credit Card / Debit Card / Net banking, he/she should select an online option from payment mode appearing on the computer screen and “Make the Payment.”
    should be made through Credit Card / Debit Card / Net banking. The candidate has to pay a processing charge additional to Counselling Fee for payment through online mode.
  • Counselling Fee: Counselling fee to be paid through the above modes.

  • Aspirants must obtain minimum qualifying percentile marks in NEET 2021 entrance examination to qualify for further admission process.
