Jharkhand NEET UG 2026 Merit List Correction Begins

Ranchi: The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has issued an important notice allowing candidates to correct their details in the Jharkhand NEET UG 2026 State Merit List. The notice (Advt. No. JCECEB/46/26-97) is dated October 11, 2026. It applies to the merit lists prepared for admission to MBBS, BDS and BHMS courses.

Why Has JCECEB Opened the Correction Window?

The Board had earlier published advertisements to prepare the State Merit Lists for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Stray Vacancy rounds of online counselling. These cover State Quota and All India seats in MBBS, BDS and BHMS courses.

According to the notice, the Board then received representations from some candidates seeking a chance to correct their category and other particulars.

Who Can Apply?

All candidates whose names appear in the State Merit Lists published on September 28, 2026 and September 25, 2026 must submit a fresh application if they need a correction.

The Board will consider only those representations submitted in line with clause 7 of Advertisement No. JCECEB/46/26-47 dated August 6, 2026.

What Corrections Are Allowed?

Candidates can request minor corrections, such as:

• Date of birth
• Gender
• Name
• Certificate updates, including the Jharkhand LRC, Caste Certificate, and Income and Assets Certificate

Certificate Rule for Reserved Categories

Certificates must be issued by an officer not below the rank of Sub-divisional Officer (Civil) of Jharkhand. This applies to:

• ST and SC
• BC-I (NCL) and BC-II (NCL)
• I&A, for EWS

Certificates issued by any other authority will not be accepted.

How to Apply for Merit List Correction

1. Prepare a fresh application that clearly mentions the correction you need.
2. Attach the supporting documents for each correction.
3. Email the application and documents to controller.jceceb@gmail.com.
4. Send it by 6:00 PM on October 14, 2026.

Important Warning for Candidates

The Board has said that no request will be considered if it arrives after the stipulated date and time or without the required supporting documents. The Board has stated that no exception will be made under any circumstances.
