The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released an important update on the second round of Karnataka NEET UG 2025 counselling 2025 for medical, dental, and AYUSH courses.
The Directorate of Medical Education has recently added 400 new medical seats. Based on this, the second round of seat allotment will be conducted again to ensure eligible candidates benefit from the additional availability.
Key Details:
- Fresh Option Entry Window: Eligible candidates can reorder or modify their options from 11:00 am on 17 September 2025 to 5:30 pm on 18 September 2025.
- Compulsory Option Entry: All candidates must log in to the portal, confirm their choices, and complete fee payment details.
- Caution Deposit Rule:
- Candidates who secured a seat in the first round and paid the fee under Choice-2, along with a deposit of ₹1 lakh, can change or remove their options if needed.
- Candidates who only paid the deposit but did not get a medical seat earlier will be considered again in this round after paying the deposit once more and logging in.
Special Notes:
- Seats that are cancelled or left vacant will be added again for allotment. Candidates should keep checking the KEA website regularly for seat availability updates.
- Even if seats remain vacant after AYUSH allotments, candidates who paid fees under Choice-2 but did not yet receive AYUSH seats can participate in this allotment process.
Admission to AYUSH Courses:
Seat allotment for Ayurveda, Unani, and Homeopathy courses will also be conducted along with medical and dental courses. Eligible candidates under Choice-2 can take part in this process.

How to Apply for 2nd Round Seat Allotment
- Visit the official KEA website.
- Login using your credentials (User ID and password).
- Go to the Option Entry Portal.
- Reorder, modify, or delete your options as per your preference.
- Confirm the final list of options carefully.
- Pay the required caution deposit (if applicable).
- Take a printout of the submitted options for future reference.
- Keep checking the KEA website for updates on seat allotment results.
