Medical and Dental Courses – First Round Next Steps (Exit to MCC)

For candidates admitted through NEET to UG Medical/Dental courses, KEA has outlined the following process:

  1. The first round provisional seat allotment result for Medical/Dental courses was announced on 23 August 2026.
  2. Candidates who wish to take admission to a seat allotted through MCC’s first round counselling can exit from KEA counselling by logging into the KEA website between 25 August 2026 and 26 August 2026, and selecting Choice-4 (Exit).
  3. To utilise the UG medical seats vacated (Choice-4) by candidates opting for MCC-allotted seats – and to make these seats available to eligible first-round candidates as per recent High Court orders – KEA will re-run the first-round seat allotment for Medical and Dental courses based on the options already entered by candidates. No changes to existing options will be permitted.
  4. Following this re-run, the revised first-round allotment final results will be published. Candidates will then be considered for possible upgradation to higher-order option seats, subject to seat availability and applicable allotment rules.
  5. After this process, the CHOICES selection portal for Medical and Dental courses for the first round will be enabled.
