Shillong, September 3, 2026: The Office of the Director of Health Services, Medical Education & Research (DME), Government of Meghalaya has released an advertisement inviting online applications for Round 2 Counselling for admission into 1st Year MBBS Courses at PA Sangma International Medical College & Hospital, Baridua, Ri-Bhoi, Meghalaya for the academic session 2026-27.

Eligibility Highlights

  • State Quota: Candidates must be ST/SC (including OST) of Meghalaya, or a permanent resident holding a valid PRC. Minimum 50% aggregate in PCB for General category; 40% for ST/SC/OST.
  • Management Quota: Open to all Indian citizens meeting the same academic criteria.
  • NRI Quota: NRI candidates must upload a certificate from the Indian Diplomatic Mission and comply with revised MCC Guidelines dated 27th May 2026.
  • Candidates must have qualified NEET-UG 2026 and be at least 17 years old as of 31st December of the admission year.
  • Medical fitness certification by a Government-constituted medical board is mandatory.

Documents Required for Verification

  • Age Proof Certificate
  • NEET UG 2026 Score Card & Admit Card
  • Domicile/Permanent Resident Certificate (if applicable)
  • Class 10 & 12 mark sheets and certificates
  • ST/SC Certificates (if applicable)
  • Passport-size photographs
  • For NRIs: NRI status proof, passport & visa details, sponsorship documents, and MCC-prescribed affidavits

Freeze/Float Option (As Per MCC Guidelines 2026)

  • Freeze: Candidates must physically report to complete admission formalities.
  • Float: Candidates retain their allotted seat and remain eligible for upgradation in later rounds, without needing to complete final admission formalities immediately.

Important Warning

Candidates are warned that submission of false or fabricated documents (including fake ST/SC/OST or PRC certificates) will lead to:

  • Immediate cancellation of admission
  • 3-year debarment from State Government quota courses
  • Legal/criminal proceedings against the candidate and parents/guardians
