The committee has also announced that only MCC-designated Disability Certification Centres’ certificates will be considered for NEET UG 2025 admission for the PwD quota.

MCC NEET 2025 Round 3: Purpose of PwD Portal

The PwD portal enables the disabled candidates to register and obtain official medical assessment at designated centers.

After verification, the eligible candidates are issued a valid PwD certificate, which needs to be uploaded and furnished at the time of counselling to claim the advantages of reservation.

This is done according to National Medical Commission (NMC) guidelines, which specify the standards of eligibility and disability levels for medical admissions.

MCC NEET 2025 Round 3 PwD Portal Notification

The norms identified by the NMC state that only those candidates whose medical ailments meet the set standards are eligible for PwD status under seat allocation of NEET UG.

Key Information Regarding PwD Candidates

  • Portal Availability: Till 5:00 PM on October 7, 2025
  • Applicable For: NEET UG 2025 Round 3 Counselling
  • Requirement: Mandatory for candidates applying for seats under the PwD quota
  • Verification Centres: Disability Certification Centres appointed by MCC in India
  • Eligibility Criteria: As per NMC regulations for medical admission

Candidates who are already holding a disability certificate from other government institutions or hospitals are required to get it revalidated through MCC-authorized centers so they can become qualified for PwD reservation benefits in NEET UG counseling. Certificates procured outside the MCC scheme will not be accepted for admission.

Importance of This Step

The PwD verification process is a major step towards ensuring proper representation of students with disabilities in the field of medical education.

It serves as a preventative for misutilization of benefits of reservation and provides deserving candidates a level-playing field to avail medical education through the reserved quota.

By operationalizing the PwD portal ahead of Round 3 counselling, MCC aims to streamline the process and avoid last-minute delays that could infringe upon seat allotment.

It also avoids leaving all verified candidates outside the seat matrix and allotment process in the concerned category.

MCC’s Advisory

MCC has strongly encouraged PwD candidates to report to the nearest certifying centre earliest and not wait until the deadline. Technical or verification delays after the stipulated time limit shall not be accepted.

The list of certified centres, eligibility criteria, and other related details may be found by the candidates on the MCC official website: www.mcc.nic.in.
