NEET UG 2025: MCC Adds New Disability Centres for PwBD

MCC has added 13 new Disability Certification Centres for PwBD candidates in NEET UG 2025 counselling.

New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the addition of new Designated Disability Centres for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) appearing in the NEET UG Counselling 2025. The move aims to provide greater accessibility and convenience to candidates seeking admission under the PwBD quota for the academic year 2025-26.

As per the notification, these centres have been onboarded in line with the Interim Guidelines issued by the National Medical Commission (NMC) regarding the assessment method for granting MBBS admissions under the PwBD category.

The PwD portal for Round-2 of UG Counselling 2025 is now active and will remain open until 12:00 p.m. on September 9, 2025. Eligible candidates can visit any of the designated centres along with their valid UDID card to undergo assessment and obtain the required Disability Certificate.

Important Instructions for PwBD Candidates

  • Candidates must carry their valid UDID card for the disability assessment.
  • Certification must be obtained strictly as per NMC’s Interim Guidelines.
  • Candidates are advised to complete the process well before the deadline to avoid last-minute issues.

This step by MCC is expected to ease the certification process for PwBD candidates by expanding the network of recognized medical institutions across multiple states.
