MCC NEET UG Choice Filling Extended Today at 12:30 PM

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has extended the deadline for choice filling and choice locking in UG medical counselling 2026. A notice on the “Latest News” section of the MCC website (mcc.nic.in) says both will now be available till 12:30 PM on October 17, 2026 (Saturday).

What the Notice Says

The update appears on MCC’s UG Medical Counselling page, under Latest News. It gives one new deadline:

• Choice filling and choice locking: available till 12:30 PM, October 17, 2026 (Saturday)

The notice does not give a reason for the extension.

Earlier Deadline

MCC’s earlier schedule for the stray round had set choice filling to close at 11:55 PM on October 16, 2026, with choice locking running from 7:00 PM to 11:55 PM on the same day. The new notice moves that deadline to the afternoon of October 17.

What Candidates Should Do

1. Fill your choices and lock them before 12:30 PM today. Only locked choices are processed for allotment, so do not leave locking to the last minute.
2. Log in to the MCC candidate portal early. Heavy traffic near a deadline can slow the site down.
3. Check your choice list once more before locking, since locked choices cannot normally be changed.
4. Keep checking mcc.nic.in for any change to the seat processing and result dates that follow choice locking.
