The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), Directorate General of Health Services, Government of India, has issued Notice No. 16 (Ref. U-11011/07/2026-MEC dated 31.08.2026) informing candidates about the Resignation/Seat Withdrawal facility for Round 1 of UG Counselling 2026.
This facility is being provided specifically for FREEZE candidates – those who had earlier joined their Round 1 allotted seat through MCC counselling but now wish to resign or withdraw from it.

Important Instructions for Candidates
- Round-1 candidates wishing to resign/withdraw from their seat must physically report at the allotted institute to complete the resignation process.
- Resignation submitted within the stipulated time window will be processed without forfeiture of Security Deposit.
- Candidates must ensure their Resignation Letter/Seat Withdrawal slip is generated online (through the MCC portal) by the Nodal Officer of the admitted institute.
- If the online slip is not generated by the Nodal Officer, the resignation will be treated as “Null & Void.”
