The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the deadline for NEET UG 2026 candidates to submit or update their bank account details for the examination fee refund. As per the latest public notice dated July 14, 2026, candidates now have until July 31, 2026 (11:50 P.M.) to complete this step.
This refund process relates to the NEET (UG) 2026 examination that was originally held on May 3, 2026.
Over 11 Lakh Candidates Already Refunded
According to the NTA notice, 11,46,401 candidates have so far submitted their bank account details, and the agency has already begun crediting refunds to these accounts. However, a significant number of candidates are yet to complete this step, prompting NTA to extend the window once again to ensure no eligible candidate is left out.
Why the Deadline Keeps Getting Extended
NTA has repeatedly reopened the bank details submission window over the past two months, largely due to candidates entering incorrect account numbers, wrong IFSC codes or simply missing earlier deadlines. This is the latest in a series of extensions aimed at making sure every eligible candidate receives their refund.
How to Submit or Update Bank Details
Candidates who have not yet submitted their bank account details should complete the process at the earliest. Here’s how:
