NEET UG 2026 aspirants have received an important advisory from the National Testing Agency (NTA). In an official public notice, the agency has clearly advised students to update and verify their Aadhaar, UDID, and Category certificates before filling out the NEET UG 2026 application form.
NTA has advised that failure to do so may lead to discrepancies, rejection of the application, or issues during counselling and admission stages.
Mandatory Aadhar Update:
According to NTA, all candidates must ensure that their Aadhaar card details are accurate, valid, and fully updated before applying for NEET UG 2026.
The following details on the Aadhaar card must correctly match the candidate’s information:
- Name
- Date of Birth
- Gender
- Photograph
- Address
- Biometric information (wherever applicable)
Students with incorrect spelling, mismatched date of birth, outdated photographs, or address errors are strongly advised to get their Aadhaar updated immediately, as such mistakes can create problems during form submission or verification stages.
Important Notice for PwD Candidates
Candidates applying under the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category must ensure that their UDID (Unique Disability ID) Card is valid, updated, and renewed as required. An invalid or expired UDID card may result in the loss of PwD reservation benefits.
Category Certificate Must Be Updated and Valid
Students claiming reservation under EWS, SC, ST, or OBC-NCL categories must ensure that their category certificate is updated and valid as per current norms. Outdated or invalid certificates may lead to rejection of category claims during counselling.
