NTA NEET UG 2025: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has said that no government official or National Testing Agency (NTA) staff was involved in the alleged NEET UG MBBS admission scam. The clarification came during a court hearing, where the CBI informed the judge that its investigation found no evidence linking government officers to the case.
What Was the Case About?
In 2025, two private individuals were arrested for cheating parents of NEET aspirants. They claimed they could change NEET UG marks and help students get MBBS seats by using their “contacts” inside the system.
The accused demanded a huge amount of money, up to ₹90 lakh per student, and promised that higher marks would be shown even before the official NEET results were declared.

The agency clearly told the court that NEET UG examination and result process remained secure.

The case will now continue only against the private individuals who allegedly cheated parents by making false promises. No action will be taken against any government employee, as their involvement has been ruled out.
This development has brought relief to lakhs of students and parents, as it confirms that the NEET UG exam system was not compromised and that admissions were conducted fairly.
