Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Vijayawada, has issued a notice for candidates who applied under the “CAP” (Children of Armed Personnel) category for admission into MBBS and BDS courses under the Competent Authority Quota for the academic year 2026-27. The Provisional Priority List, prepared and submitted by the Sainik Welfare Department, has now been displayed on the university’s official website.
The notice, bearing File No. 5156/MBBS/BDS/EA1/2026(CAP) and dated August 25, 2026, is addressed to all candidates who submitted their online application and uploaded scanned original certificates under the CAP category.
What the Notice Says
According to the official communication, all candidates who applied under the CAP category are informed that the Provisional CAP Priority List is available on the university website: https://drntr.uhsap.in. Candidates with grievances regarding their listing are required to submit them to the Sainik Welfare Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada.
- Grievance email: [email protected]
- Last date and time to submit grievances: 4:00 PM on August 27, 2026
The notice makes clear that grievances received after the deadline will not be considered under any circumstances, so candidates who spot a discrepancy in their eligibility status, category, or priority ranking must act quickly.
NTRUHS CAP Category Provisional Priority List
What the Provisional Priority List Contains
The list published by the Sainik Welfare Department shows, for each applicant, the registration ID, NEET roll number, NEET rank and score, candidate name, gender, category (OC/BC/SC/ST, etc.), area (AU/SVU/APNL), eligibility status, remarks, and an assigned priority tier (ranging from Priority I to Priority VIII).
Candidates marked “Eligible” carry the remark “Verified & Approved.” Candidates marked “Not Eligible” have specific reasons noted against their names — the most common being that personnel from Central Armed Police Forces such as BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, and GREF are not eligible for the CAP category, and that wards of ex-servicemen or serving personnel from other states are not eligible under CAP category in Andhra Pradesh, as per G.O. Ms. No. 59, dated May 16, 2018 (Home Services-IV Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh).
How to Check Your Status in the CAP Priority List
- Visit the official NTRUHS admissions website: https://drntr.uhsap.in.
- Locate and open the Provisional CAP Priority List notification for MBBS/BDS 2026-27.
- Search the list using your registration ID or NEET roll number.
- Check your eligibility status, category, area, remarks, and assigned priority.
- If you find any discrepancy, prepare your grievance with supporting documents before the deadline.
How to Raise a Grievance
Candidates who believe their eligibility status or priority has been wrongly recorded should email their grievance, along with relevant supporting proof, to [email protected], addressed to the Sainik Welfare Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada, before 4:00 PM on August 27, 2026. No grievances will be entertained after this deadline.
Why This List Matters
The CAP category reservation is meant for children of defence and armed forces personnel, and priority within the category is assigned in tiers based on the parent’s service background and other eligibility criteria set by the Sainik Welfare Department. Since this is only a provisional list, candidates are advised to verify their entry carefully and use the grievance window if needed, as the final list will be used for seat allotment under the Competent Authority Quota.
Candidates are advised to keep checking the official NTRUHS website regularly for the final CAP priority list and further counselling updates.
