Odisha NEET UG 2026 PwBD Assessment for Round 2 Schedule

Cuttack: The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) Board has issued a notice for candidates wishing to participate in the 85% State Quota MBBS/BDS (2nd Round) Counselling and Admission Process under the Physically Challenged (PC)/PwBD category.

About the Notice

As per the official notice (No. OJEE/0466) dated September 3, 2026, all candidates who wish to take part in OJEE web-based counselling for MBBS/BDS (2nd Round) courses under the Person with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) category must attend the State Medical Board, SCB Medical College & Hospital (MCH), Cuttack, on September 8, 2026, at 9:30 AM, along with all documents mentioned in the earlier notice (No. OJEE/0383, dated August 4, 2026).

Key Points from the Notice

• It is mandatory for all registered candidates under the PwBD category to undergo evaluation at the Medical Assessment Board, SCB MCH, Cuttack, to ensure uniformity in the PwBD status evaluation process for 85% State Quota MBBS/BDS seats.
• The decision of the Medical Board is final and binding. Final admission under the PC/PwBD category will be made strictly as per the Board’s recommendations.
• Candidates who fail to attend the Medical Board will not be considered under the PC/PwBD category under any circumstances.
• Candidates who were not qualified under the PwBD category in NEET UG 2026 are not eligible to register under State Quota Counselling and need not attend the Medical Assessment Board.

Documents and Affidavits Required

Candidates applying under the PwBD category must submit a Self-Certification Affidavit (Appendix-A), along with disability-specific affidavits as applicable:

• Appendix-B: Hearing Impairment
• Appendix-C: Locomotor Disability (Upper Extremity)
• Appendix-D: Locomotor Disability (Lower Extremity)
• Appendix-E: Mental Illness/Speech Disorders/Specific Learning Disorder/Autism Spectrum Disorder
• Appendix-F: Visual Impairment

These affidavits require candidates to declare their functional competencies relevant to their disability category, notarized and signed, affirming their capability to undertake the MBBS course.

About the Eligibility Certificate

The Medical Assessment Board will issue an Eligibility Certificate after evaluating:

• The candidate’s demonstrated functional competency as per the Competency Based Medical Education (CBME) Curriculum.
• Feasibility of reasonable accommodation and assistive technology.
• Ability to successfully complete the MBBS course.
• Considerations relating to patient safety.

Based on this assessment, candidates will be certified as Eligible, Eligible with Reasonable Accommodation, or Ineligible, with reasons recorded by the Board.

What Candidates Should Do

• PwBD category candidates must report to SCB MCH, Cuttack, on September 8, 2026, at 9:30 AM with all required documents.
• Carry the completed Self-Certification Affidavit and relevant disability-specific appendix, duly notarized.
• Ensure attendance, as absence will lead to disqualification from the PC/PwBD category.
• Candidates not qualified under the PwBD category in NEET UG 2026 need not attend.
