The Rajasthan NEET UG counselling authority has clarified who can and cannot take part in the stray vacancy round. The note sets out how candidates who exited earlier, joined a seat, or were allotted a seat in Round 3 will be treated. It also covers a registration requirement for non-domicile candidates.
Who can apply
- Candidates who exited with forfeiture of the security amount in the Round 2 allotment, and did not register earlier (in Round 3), may apply again. This depends on their eligibility to take part in the stray vacancy round.
- Candidates who do not fall under clauses I to X of the other eligibility criteria but do fall under clause XI must also fill the application form or register. This applies to non-domicile candidates from outside Rajasthan.
Who cannot apply
- Candidates who show a joined status after Round 3, as per the information on the MCC website, will not be allowed to take part in the stray vacancy round.
- Candidates who were allotted or upgraded a seat in Round 3 but did not join will not be allowed to take part either.
What candidates should do
- Check the joined status shown on the MCC website before planning to apply for the stray vacancy round.
- Read the full eligibility criteria, clauses I to XI, in the official notice.
- Non-domicile candidates who fall under clause XI should complete the application form or registration.
- Keep checking the official counselling website for the stray vacancy schedule and updates.
