The notification covers seat availability across Government Medical Colleges, ESIC Medical College, Self-Financing Medical and Dental Colleges, Private Medical Colleges, Government Dental Colleges, and the IRT Ward Quota.
Overview
The tentative vacancy list gives candidates a category-wise breakup (OC, BC, BCM, MBC/DNC, SC, SCA, and ST) of seats across each institution, along with quota-wise splits (Government Quota, Management Quota, Minority Quota, NRI Quota, and CMC 50%/20% seats where applicable) for self-financing and private colleges.
MBBS Seats – Government Medical Colleges
The list covers 36 Government Medical Colleges across Tamil Nadu, including Madras Medical College (Chennai), Stanley Medical College (Chennai), Madurai Medical College, Coimbatore Medical College, Tirunelveli Medical College, and several district-level government medical colleges. Together, these colleges account for a total of 3,919 MBBS seats under the Government Quota.
MBBS Seats – ESIC Medical College
ESI-PGIMSR, ESI Hospital, K.K. Nagar, Chennai has a total of 90 MBBS seats under the Government Quota.
MBBS Seats – Self-Financing Medical Colleges
20 self-financing medical colleges, including PSG Institute of Medical Sciences (Coimbatore), Christian Medical College (Vellore), SRM Medical College (Trichy), and Panimalar Medical College Hospital & Research Institute (Chennai), collectively offer 3,350 MBBS seats, spread across Government Quota, Management Quota, Minority Quota (Christian, Malayalam, and Telugu Minority), and NRI Quota categories.
MBBS Seats – Private Medical Colleges
Three private medical colleges – Sri Venkateswaraa Medical College Hospital and Research Institute (Chennai), Kanyakumari Medical Mission Research Center, and Takshashila Medical College (Tindivanam) – together offer 575 MBBS seats.
BDS Seats – Government Dental Colleges
Three government dental colleges, namely Tamil Nadu Government Dental College & Hospital (Chennai), Government Dental College (Pudukkottai), and Government Dental College and Hospital (Cuddalore), offer a combined total of 194 BDS seats under the Government Quota.
BDS Seats – Self-Financing Dental Colleges
18 self-financing dental colleges, including Ragas Dental College & Hospital (Chennai), Sri Ramakrishna Dental College & Hospital (Coimbatore), and Chettinad Dental College & Research Institute (Kancheepuram), together offer 1,662 BDS seats across Government Quota, Management Quota, Minority Quota, and NRI Quota.

Under the IRT Ward Quota, Government Erode Medical College & Hospital, Perundurai, has 30 MBBS seats allotted.
