Uttarakhand NEET UG 2026 Freeze & Float Admission Procedure Released

Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University (HNBUMU), Dehradun has released an important notice regarding the Advance Tuition Fee submission and admission procedure for candidates allotted seats in Round 1 of the Uttarakhand State Centralized Counselling for NEET UG 2026. The notice, published on 28th August 2026, outlines separate step-by-step procedures for Freeze and Float candidates.

Procedure for Freeze Candidates

Candidates who wish to accept and confirm their allotted seat must follow these steps:

1. Login to the website using login ID
2. Download the allotment letter
3. Upload mandatory documents
4. Documents verified online by the allotted college
5. Pay advance tuition fee (if documents verified)
6. Download advance tuition fee receipt and freeze confirmation slip
7. Report to allotted college with fee receipt and required documents
8. Pay balance tuition fee and other applicable charges directly to the college
9. Collect admission letter from the college

Note: Once a candidate accepts the freeze option and confirms admission, they will not be permitted to participate in subsequent counselling rounds.

Procedure for Float Candidates

1. Login to the website using login ID
2. Download the allotment letter
3. Upload mandatory documents
4. Documents verified online by the allotted college
5. Float candidates will not undergo physical document verification – documents are verified online only
6. Download float confirmation slip

Fees must be paid only via Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, or Online Generated Bank Transfer Challan.

Important Deadline

Freeze candidates must upload all required documents and get them verified by the Principal of the allotted institution by 5th September 2026. Failure to do so, or if verification reveals the candidate doesn’t meet eligibility criteria, will result in immediate cancellation of the allotted seat.

Documents Required at Time of Reporting

• Copy of allotment letter
• Proof of advance tuition fee payment
• Class 10 Certificate (age proof)
• Class 12 Certificate & Marksheet
• NEET UG 2026 Admit Card
• NEET UG 2026 Result/Rank Letter
• Reserve Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS), if applicable — OBC must be NCL category, issued by Uttarakhand authority
• Sub-category Certificate (FF/Orphan/DPW/PwBD), if applicable
• PwBD Certificate from NMC-Designated Medical Board, if applicable
• Certificates for Ward of Kashmiri Migrants, if applicable
• Domicile Certificate (Uttarakhand candidates only)
• Valid ID Proof (Aadhaar/Passport/PAN/Driving License)
• Any other document as required by the concerned college

Key Points to Note

• Candidates who fail to select either the freeze or float option before the deadline will have their seat allotment cancelled and moved to the Round 2 vacant seat matrix – though they may still participate in Round 2.
• Candidates holding original documents deposited at another institute/college will not be allowed admission based merely on a certificate of deposit – original documents are mandatory.
• If a candidate leaves the seat after confirming admission, a maximum deduction of ₹6,000 will be made from the deposited fee, along with charges for any hostel/mess services actually availed; the remaining amount will be refunded.
• All future updates regarding admission/counselling will be published only on the official website (www.hnbumu.ac.in) – no separate call letters will be issued.
• Instructions for Round 2 counselling will be released separately.
