HP MBBS/BDS Counselling 2026 Round 2 Merit List Released

Atal Medical & Research University, Himachal Pradesh (AMRU HP) has released the merit list for MBBS/BDS 2nd round counselling based on NEET UG 2026 scores. The notice was issued on September 8, 2026, by the Common Centralized and Prospectus Review Committee (MBBS/BDS Course), AMRU, HP.

Key Details

According to the official notice, all HP Quota candidates will now be permitted to fill choices for Management Quota (Private College) seats as well, in addition to their regular preferences. Candidates can submit their choices and preferences for the 2nd round of counselling from September 8, 2026 to September 9, 2026.

Merit List Highlights

The merit list, released for MBBS/BDS admissions under HP Quota, ranks candidates based on their All India NEET Merit Rank and NEET UG 2026 score. The list includes details such as merit number, application number, candidate name, category (General, EWS, SC, ST, OBC), Backward Area schooling status, and Defence/Management/NRI quota status. Top-ranked candidates have scored in the range of 660+ under the General category, with category-wise cutoffs following the reservation matrix applicable in Himachal Pradesh.

Document Verification Advisory

AMRU has advised candidates claiming benefits under any reserved category or quota to ensure that all certificates and documents are valid, updated, and submitted in the format prescribed in the Prospectus. The university has cautioned that:

• Certificates should be prepared or updated in the prescribed format before the admission process begins.
• Any discrepancy, outdated certificate, or missing document may result in the candidate losing the benefit of their claimed category/quota.
• A provisional seat allotment does not confer any automatic right to admission – final eligibility and category claims remain subject to verification and approval by the Admission Committee of the concerned institute.

Reporting Instructions

Candidates have been directed to approach their allotted college or institute only after the declaration of the Final Seat Allotment, and only after downloading the Provisional Allotment Letter from their candidate login. The notice makes clear that admission will not be considered without proper seat allocation through AMRU.
