The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has published the Round 2 provisional seat matrix for MBBS and BDS admissions under the UGCET 2026 counselling process, conducted through the Non-Interactive Admission System for the academic year 2026-27.

The seat matrix provides a detailed, college-wise and category-wise breakdown of the seats available for Round 2 counselling. It lists vacant seats across:

Seats are further broken down by reservation category, including General Merit (GM), SC, ST, OBC-linked codes (1G, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B), horizontal reservations for persons with disabilities (H-suffixed codes), and other special categories.

MBBS Seat Matrix Highlights

The MBBS provisional seat matrix for Round 2 covers medical colleges across Karnataka, including major institutions such as:

  • Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute
  • Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences, Bangalore
  • M S Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore
  • JSS Medical College, Mysore
  • Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences, Hubli
  • Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belagavi
  • Mysore Medical College and Research Institute

According to the grand totals listed in the matrix, a total of 2,308 MBBS seats are shown as available across all colleges and categories for Round 2.

BDS Seat Matrix Highlights

The BDS provisional seat matrix similarly lists available seats across dental colleges statewide, including:

  • Government Dental College, Victoria Hospital Premises, Bangalore
  • Dr. M.R. Ambedkar Dental College, Bangalore
  • Bapuji Dental College, Davangere
  • A.J. Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangalore
  • Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheswara Dental College, Dharwad

The grand total for the BDS matrix shows 974 seats available for Round 2 across government, private, NRI, and other quota categories.

Important Notes for Candidates

  • This is a provisional matrix – seat numbers may be revised before final Round 2 allotment.
  • At least one college notes an admission caveat: Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belagavi has flagged that admission to 12 MBBS state quota seats is subject to the outcome of a pending writ petition.
  • Candidates participating in Round 2 counselling should cross-check the seat matrix against their category and rank before exercising their choices.
