New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has opened a portal for the NEET UG 2025 counselling. Earlier, MCC released revised NEET UG seat matrix after the National Medical Commission (NMC) took action against many MBBS colleges/universities in India for regulatory non-compliance. A total of 115,900 MBBS seats are now available across 766 medical colleges, comprising central, state, private, and deemed institutions, for Round 1 of NEET UG counselling.
We will observe increased cutoff for colleges and decision dilemmas among students this year.

- 15% of seats (All-India Quota) are centrally allotted, while 85% remain under state quota.
- With over 20.9 lakh NEET aspirants this year, roughly 1 in 10 candidates will secure a medical seat.
