NEET UG Seat Allotment Process 2026
There will be three rounds in the NEET 2026 Seat Allotment process: Round 1, 2, and the Mop-Up round. When seats are vacant after the first two rounds of counselling, the mop-up round will be conducted. The NEET UG exam results will assign the candidates’ seats, the number of seats available, filled preferences, etc. Candidates have the choice to accept or reject the seat that has been assigned to them after the committee has distributed the seats.
How to Download NEET 2026 Seat Allotment Result?

- After the seat allotment result, candidates must log in to the official portal of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) to download the allotment letter.
- Candidates must report to the allotted institute within the specified time (usually 5–7 days) with the allotment letter, original certificates, and required documents.
- The institute conducts document verification and may also carry out a medical fitness test.
- Admission is confirmed only after successful verification and updating of the candidate’s status on the MCC portal under the supervision of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
- If a candidate is not satisfied with the allotted seat in Round 1, they can opt for upgradation in the next round or choose to exit the counselling process as per the rules.
