In a major step towards improving the quality and transparency of national-level examinations, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has launched a new training initiative called ‘Pariksha Karmayogi: Capacity-Building Programme for Examination Officials’. The announcement was made through an official press release issued on June 13, 2026.
The programme has been introduced on the Government of India’s iGOT Karmayogi Bharat platform and is aimed at strengthening the supervision and invigilation processes during NTA examinations. It seeks to equip examination officials with the knowledge and skills needed to conduct exams smoothly, securely, and fairly.
What is Pariksha Karmayogi?
Pariksha Karmayogi is a dedicated digital training programme designed for officials involved in conducting NTA examinations. The initiative focuses on enhancing the professional capabilities of examination personnel and ensuring that standard procedures are followed across all exam centres.
The course is especially meant for:
- Centre Superintendents
- Invigilators
- Other examination functionaries associated with NTA exams, including NEET (UG)
What Will Officials Learn?
The training programme consists of four modules covering different stages of examination management:
Module 1: Introduces the role of examination officials and highlights the importance of fairness, transparency, and integrity.
Module 2: Focuses on pre-examination preparedness, including centre readiness, security arrangements, and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Module 3: Explains examination-day operations and responsibilities before, during, and after the conduct of the exam.
Module 4: Serves as a quick reference guide, summarising key instructions and responsibilities for officials.
Why Does This Matter for Students?
While the programme is designed for examination staff, students stand to benefit significantly from it. Better-trained officials can help ensure:
- Fair and transparent examinations,
- Improved security at exam centres,
- Consistent implementation of rules,
- Reduced chances of procedural errors, and
- A smoother exam experience for candidates.
In recent years, concerns regarding examination management and integrity have highlighted the need for stronger systems. Through Pariksha Karmayogi, NTA aims to build a more accountable and efficient examination ecosystem.
NTA’s Commitment to Better Exams
According to the press release, the initiative reflects NTA’s continued efforts to use technology-driven capacity building to strengthen India’s examination framework. By promoting trained and certified manpower, the agency hopes to maintain high standards of examination administration across the country.
For students preparing for competitive exams, this move signals a positive step towards creating a more reliable and student-friendly testing environment.
