Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate must have qualified NEET UG 2026 with the required score/percentile for their category
- Must have passed (or be appearing in) Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as compulsory subjects, scoring at least 50% marks (40% for reserved category)
- Minimum age 17 years; 5-year upper age relaxation applies for reserved category candidates
- MP domicile candidates are eligible for both government and private college seats under state quota
- Non-domicile candidates are generally restricted to management quota seats in private colleges only.

Counselling Fee & Security Deposit
- Counselling registration fee: ₹1,000 (Unreserved category), ₹500 (SC/ST/OBC/PwD category)
- For Round 2 and Mop-Up Round, an advance security deposit is required before choice filling: ₹10,000 (UR) / ₹5,000 (Reserved) for government colleges
- The deposit is adjusted against the admission fee if allotted, or refunded if not allotted after counselling concludes
Seat-Leaving Bond & Withdrawal Rules
- Candidates must withdraw from a Round 1 seat at least 2 days before Round 2 begins to avoid penalty
- Withdrawing after this deadline but before Round 2 results in loss of the seat, disqualification from future rounds and a seat-leaving bond of ₹30 lakh for government colleges (full course fee for private colleges)
- The Mop-Up Round does not offer a withdrawal facility for future rounds, and the Stray Vacancy Round does not permit any further upgrade
Why Was MP NEET UG Counselling 2026 Delayed & Revised?
MP NEET UG Counselling 2026 saw a later-than-usual start this year mainly because of the NEET UG 2026 re-examination. Since the counselling schedule is directly linked to the final NEET UG result, DME MP could only begin preparing its counselling brochure after the Re-NEET UG 2026 result was declared on 16 July 2026. Registration finally opened on August 5, 2026, instead of the usual mid-to-late July start seen in previous years.
The First Round schedule was further revised on 20 August 2026 by the Office of the Commissioner, Medical Education, Bhopal, pushing the allotment result from 20 August to 24 August 2026, with the reporting and admission window correspondingly extended to 25 August – 3 September 2026.

DME MP conducts counselling for the 85% state quota seats across the following courses in Madhya Pradesh’s government and private colleges:
