Spot Instructions
- Candidates who have been allotted and accepted a seat during Round 1 or Round 2 can withdraw within the stipulated time via the online portal, giving consent to be eligible for the Spot Round.
- Candidates with a confirmed, non-withdrawn seat cannot participate in the Spot Round.
- Withdrawing a seat forfeits any claim to it; the seat becomes available for the Spot Round, but withdrawal does not guarantee a fresh allotment.

Arunachal Pradesh Registration Procedure 2026
Step 1: Registration & Choice Filling – Online registration through the official portal; verify personal, academic, domicile, category, PwD status and NEET UG 2026 details; upload Class X certificate, Class XII mark sheet, NEET UG 2026 rank card, category certificate, PwD certificate (if applicable), and photograph; fill, reorder and lock institute/course choices; unlocked-but-saved choices auto-lock at the deadline; keep a printout of locked choices; unsubmitted choices mean no seat allotment consideration; false information risks cancellation and legal action.
Step 2: Round 1 Seat Allotment & Reporting – Result published on the portal based on merit, reservation policy, seat availability and preferences; choose Floating (next round eligibility) or Freezing (accept and pay Security Deposit); medical-course allottees report to the Directorate of Medical Education, Naharlagun; non-medical-course allottees report to the Directorate of Higher & Technical Education, Itanagar; failure to freeze/pay/report cancels the allotment; only Floating candidates proceed to Round 2; no-response candidates skip Round 2 but may join the Spot Round.
Step 3: Surrender/Withdrawal of Seat – Online withdrawal available for provisional allottees who haven’t joined; timely withdrawal allows Spot Round participation; admitted candidates cannot withdraw.
Step 4: Spot Round Counselling – Open to Round 2 Floating candidates, timely withdrawn-seat candidates, not-allotted candidates, and fresh applicants (after fee payment); already-admitted candidates are ineligible.
Step 5: Reporting to the Allotted Institute – Freezing candidates collect the Provisional Admission/Nomination Letter and report within the schedule; admission is confirmed only after document verification; failure to report forfeits the seat.
Arunachal Pradesh Payment of Security Deposit
To avoid unnecessary blockages of seats until the last date of admission by some candidates, thereby causing loss of chairs, a security deposit, as detailed, may be levied before issuing the nomination letter:

The amount shall be forfeited if the candidate does not take admission within the due date of entry. However, the amount shall be refunded if the candidate accesses the Institution and submits proof.
Categories of Arunachal Pradesh Candidates
On fulfilling the eligibility as mentioned above, the candidates shall be placed in the following two categories, depending on the criteria mentioned against each:
