KNRUHS MBBS Management Quota Free Exit 2026: Last Date 14 Oct

Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), Telangana, has issued a notification on the free exit option from the MBBS course for candidates admitted under Management Quota for 2026. The notice, dated 13 October 2026 and signed by the Registrar, says candidates can leave the course without penalty only up to 5:00 PM on 14 October 2026.

Who can use the free exit?

The free exit is open to all candidates admitted up to the second phase of counselling under Management Quota for the academic year 2026-27. This covers MBBS seats in medical colleges affiliated to KNRUHS and to the Neelima Institute of Medical Sciences (affiliated to Anurag University).

Rules for candidates

• Candidates can discontinue the admitted MBBS course by applying to the Principal of the college, without any penalty, until 5:00 PM on 14 October 2026.
• Candidates who discontinue will not be eligible for further rounds of Management Quota counselling for MBBS in 2026-27.
• Discontinuation after 5:00 PM on 14 October 2026 will attract the penalty clause as per Government Orders.

Exception: upgrade to a CQ seat in the mop-up phase

If a candidate admitted to MBBS under Management Quota (MQ) is upgraded to an MBBS seat under CQ in the mop-up phase of counselling, held after the free exit facility closes, no penalty will be imposed for discontinuing the Management Quota seat.

Instructions for medical college principals

Principals of medical colleges have been told to:

1. Return all original certificates immediately to candidates who opted for free exit.
2. Refund the entire fee paid by those candidates.
3. Upload the data to the admission portal by 5:30 PM on 14 October 2026, without fail.

What should candidates do?

• Decide before 5:00 PM on 14 October 2026 whether to continue with the MBBS Management Quota seat.
• If you wish to exit, submit an application to the Principal of your college before the deadline.
• Remember that a free exit makes you ineligible for further Management Quota rounds for MBBS in 2026-27.
• Collect your original certificates and fee refund from the college after exit.
