Maharashtra NEET Counselling 2022 Provisional Merit list Guidelines
The Commissioner, State CET CELL, Mumbai, will conduct the admission process for all the Health Science courses in Maharashtra. Online applications will be invited from eligible candidate(s) for admission to all Government/Corporation, Private & Minority Colleges. The online application form will be made available on the website www.mahacet.org.
- The provisional state merit list for seats under State quota in Government / Corporation, Government Aided and all the quota seats in Private/ Minority colleges will be published on the website of State CET CELL as per constitutional and / Or specified reservation claimed by the candidate(s).
- The list of applicants will be prepared based on information submitted by the candidate(s) through an online process made available on the website www.mahacet.org. The provisional state merit list will be prepared based on the information filled in the registration form and the documents uploaded by the Candidate. The admitting college authorities shall verify the original documents in which the candidate submits her/his documents for admission.
- During the online process, there will be the choice of opting for Institutional quota seats (15%) for MBBS and BDS courses at private unaided colleges. The admission process fee (non-refundable) for Institutional quota seats will be Rs. 5000/-. Admission will be based on NEET UG 2022 rank and An India basis, including NRI / OCI. For admission to Institutional quota seats other than MBBS and BDS courses at private unaided colleges, candidate(s) will have to apply at their respective institutes.

Maharashtra NEET Seat Allotment Procedure
The Maharashtra NEET Counselling will be conducted in two rounds. The seat allotment and mop-up round process will be done separately for each round. The Seat allotment will be based entirely on the merit rank and choices entered by candidates.
The Maharashtra MBBS and BDS seat allotment results for Round I counselling will be announced tentatively in the first week of Nov. The seat allotment results will be published online on the Directorate of Medical Education & Research’s official website, Maharashtra.
Applying seekers who have been allotted seats in Round I will also opt for up-gradation in Second Round. And if the candidate gets an upgraded seat in the Second Round, the seat allotted in the First Round will be cancelled.
Document Verification for Maharashtra MBBS & BDS Merit List 2022
After releasing the provisional Maharashtra NEET 2022 merit list, the responsible authority will release a schedule for document verification for all applicants whose names appear on the merit list. Applicants must report in person at the assigned venue to verify their original documents for Maharashtra Medical College admission.

Tie-Breaking For Maharashtra MBBS Rank List 2022
If a situation arises with two or more applicants having the same ranks, tie-breaking is needed. Here are some rules for tie-breaking.
- Applicants with higher marks in biology will be given high ranks and hence preferred.
- If the tie still exists, a candidate with higher marks in chemistry will be given preference.
- If the tie does not break, the applicant with fewer negative marks will be prioritised.
- And if the problem still lies, the older applicant will be preferred.
