Why Was Re-NEET 2026 Conducted?
The original NEET UG 2026 exam was held on 3 May 2026. NTA officially cancelled the examination on 12 May 2026 following a confirmed paper leak. The Rajasthan Police Special Operations Group (SOG) had recovered a guess paper matching 140 questions from the actual exam, and investigations revealed that papers were allegedly leaked as early as 27 April 2026. The CBI is currently investigating the case. With government approval, NTA rescheduled the exam as Re-NEET UG 2026 on 21 June 2026. No fresh registration was required all previously registered candidates retained their candidature.
