NEET UG 2026 Exam Day Guidelines: As the NEET UG 2026 examination approaches, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a detailed set of exam day guidelines in your admit cards to ensure a smooth and fair conduct of the country’s largest medical entrance test. With lakhs of aspirants appearing for this prestigious NEET UG examination, it is advised to read all these instructions carefully.

The exam is scheduled to be conducted on the 3rd of May in a single shift from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and candidates are strongly advised to reach their allotted centres well in advance reporting time is 11 AM. Authorities have emphasized that no entry will be permitted after 1:30 PM, regardless of the reason, making punctuality a critical factor on exam day.

Reporting Time

To manage large-scale security checks and verification processes, candidates should ideally report to their exam centres by 11 AM. Entry procedures will include frisking, document verification, and biometric attendance.

  • Entry gates close strictly at 1:30 PM
  • Latecomers will not be allowed under any circumstances
  • Biometric verification and seating will take time, arrive early
  • Follow all instructions given by centre staff without delay

We strongly recommend arriving on time, as any last-minute delays can create unnecessary panic, something best avoided when exam stress is already high. Being punctual will help you stay calm and focused.

Mandatory Documents for Entry

Candidates must carry all required documents to avoid denial of entry at the examination centre. Missing even one essential document can prevent you from appearing in the exam.

  • Printed NEET UG 2026 Admit Card
  • Valid original photo ID proof (Aadhaar card, Passport, etc.)
  • Passport-size photograph (same as uploaded in the application form)
  • Admit card with a postcard-sized photo affixed on page 2
  • Admit card must be signed only in front of the invigilator

Strict Dress Code Guidelines

The NTA has enforced a strict dress code to maintain transparency and prevent unfair practices. Students are advised to keep their attire simple and minimal.

Allowed:

  • Light-colored clothes with half sleeves
  • Slippers or sandals with low heels

Not Allowed:

  • Full sleeves or heavy garments

Failure to comply with the dress code may result in delays or denial of entry.

  • Mobile phones, smartwatches, or electronic gadgets
  • Books, notes, or any paper material
