Assam NEET UG 2025: The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam has started the registration process for NEET UG 2025 round 2 counselling. This round will allow students to secure admission to MBBS and BDS courses in medical and dental colleges across the state.
As per the official schedule, the choice filling and locking window will remain open from 10th to 11th September, 2025. The seat allotment results for round 2 will be announced on 19 September, 2025, and selected candidates will have to report to their allotted colleges between 24th to 25th September, 2025.
In a major development, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has approved the establishment of Pragjyotishpur Medical College in Guwahati with 50 MBBS seats. And seat capacity has been increased at existing institutions like GMC Guwahati with 250 seats, AMC Dibrugarh with 250 seats, and SMC Silchar with 150 seats.

Candidates don’t have to register again if they have already been registered. They can directly participate in the choice filling process for a new allotment or to change their college preference. Those who have already submitted choices may revise and lock them during the given period.
The allotment list will include important details such as the candidate’s roll number, state merit rank, allotted institute, and course. In round 1 of Assam NEET counselling 2025, a total number of 3,122 candidates received MBBS and BDS seats.
