Gujarat MBBS/BDS Stray Vacancy Round 2026: Registration Opens

The Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC), Government of Gujarat, has started online registration for the 4th online (Stray Vacancy) round of MBBS and BDS admission for 2026-27. Registration opened on 14 October 2026 and closes on 16 October 2026 at 2:00 PM. The committee has also released the list of 231 vacant seats for this round. Candidates can register on the official website, www.medadmgujarat.org.

Help centre hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Saturday, 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Help centres are closed on Sundays and public holidays.

Who can register for the 4th round?

Registration and document upload is open only for:

• Candidates who have not registered in Round 1, Round 2 or Round 3, or
• Candidates who were allotted a seat in Round 2 but did not confirm admission (exited with forfeiture of the refundable security deposit) and have not registered in Round 3.

The seats are for admission to the 1st year of undergraduate Medical and Dental courses in Government, Grant-in-Aid and Self-Financed colleges for 2026-27. Candidates must have passed Class 12 (Science stream with B or AB group) from the Gujarat Board, or from a school in Gujarat affiliated to the Central Board, CISCE, Cambridge University or NIOS. They must also have a NEET-UG 2026 all India rank and meet the eligibility rules of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Gujarat, and the respective council.

Not eligible: Candidates who were allotted a seat in the MBBS/BDS courses in Round 3, or whose admission was confirmed in Round 1, 2 or 3, cannot take part in the fourth round.

For NRI candidates only: After applying online, submit a Demand Draft of ₹10,000 in favour of “ACPUGMEC”, payable at Gandhinagar, as a processing fee. It must be submitted at the office of ACPUGMEC, GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar.

How to register for the Gujarat stray vacancy round

1. Visit www.medadmgujarat.org.
2. Buy the PIN online before 12:00 PM on 16 October 2026 by paying ₹11,000 (₹1,000 non-refundable plus ₹10,000 refundable security deposit).
3. Complete the online registration before 2:00 PM on 16 October 2026.
4. Print the registration slip and choose the date and help centre for document verification. Take a prior appointment.
5. Visit the help centre with self-attested photocopies of documents on 16 October 2026, between 10:00 AM and 4:30 PM.
6. NRI candidates must also submit the ₹10,000 demand draft at the ACPUGMEC office in Gandhinagar.

Important points for candidates

• Registration, PIN purchase and document verification all fall on the same last day, 16 October 2026, so candidates should not wait until then.
• Candidates must take a prior appointment at the help centre for document verification.
