Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, also known as HIMSR New Delhi, is one of the top private deemed medical colleges in Delhi NCR. It was established in 2012. The college is affiliated with Jamia Hamdard University and approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC). HIMSR became the sixth medical college in the National Capital Territory of Delhi and the first model hospital in the public-private sector within the capital. The first batch of MBBS students began their studies in July 2012.
| Important Notice: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has cancelled all 150 MBBS and 49 PG seats of Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (HIMSR) in the recently released seat matrix for 2025-26. The HIMSR representative clarifies, it is not due to the alleged ₹813 crore fund diversion, but because Jamia Hamdard University unilaterally withdrew its affiliation. The institute remains NMC-recognised, and the matter is under legal review, with no impact on current students. |
In this article, we will explain the Hamdard Medical College courses offered, admission procedure, eligibility criteria, fee structure, round-wise and category-wise cut off, ranking and more.
