Supreme Court Directions on Deemed University Counselling
In its order dated 12th December 2022, in I.A No. 132614/2022 in W.P (C) No. 267/2017, the Supreme Court directed that:
- Four Rounds of Counselling: Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and the Stray Vacancy Round for 100% seats in Deemed Universities will be conducted by MCC under the All India Quota (AIQ).
- Stray Vacancy Round Online: MCC will conduct the stray vacancy round completely online, eliminating offline admissions.
Effective from: Academic Year 2022-23 onwards.

Eligibility for Deemed University MBBS Counselling
- NEET UG Qualified: Candidate must qualify for NEET UG conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Unlike government institutions, there is no OBC, SC, ST, EWS, or PWD reservation in Deemed Universities under MCC.
