NTA Warns NEET UG 2025 Aspirants: Cutoff Must for Admission

NTA warns: No MBBS, BDS, or AYUSH admission in 2025 without NEET qualification. Beware of fake agents offering illegal seats. Check cutoff scores & tips.

“If you have not scored the minimum qualifying marks in NEET 2025, you are NOT eligible for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, or BSMS courses, regardless of whether the college is government, private, or under management quota.”

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a clear and strict warning to NEET 2025 aspirants: Only candidates who have qualified for NEET 2025 are eligible for medical and AYUSH admissions.

Background

  • Scam Targets NEET-Unqualified Students: Agents offered fake MBBS/AYUSH seats to students who didn’t qualify for NEET.
  • Use of Fake Documents: Forged NEET scorecards and admission letters were used to create dummy entries.
  • Private Colleges Involved: Some lesser-known private colleges allegedly colluded in these illegal admissions.
  • Huge Bribes Collected: Families paid up to ₹90L per seat, only to face rejection later.
  • NMC/NTA Warn Public: Authorities confirmed such admissions are illegal and warned of strict action.

This rule applies across all medical, dental, and AYUSH colleges, including:

  • Central/State Government Colleges
  • Private Medical Institutions
  • Deemed Universities
  • Management/NRI Quota Seats
  • AYUSH Colleges (BAMS, BHMS, BSMS, BUMS)

What Does NEET “Qualified” Mean?

To be eligible for admission to any medical course in India, you must score equal to or above the official NEET 2025 cutoff marks declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates falling short of these marks will not be considered for:

No Admission is Possible Without Qualifying for the NEET

There have been numerous reports of agents and counsellors promising admission to unqualified students, especially under management quota or in lesser-known private colleges. Such offers are completely illegal and violate NMC and government guidelines.

Authorities have clarified:

  • Admission without qualifying for NEET is not legally valid
  • Colleges admitting unqualified students can lose their recognition
  • Students may face legal consequences and be barred from future counselling

Beware of Fake Agents and Promises

In recent weeks, many parents and students have received phone calls, emails, and WhatsApp messages from agents claiming:

“We can get you admission in MBBS or BAMS even if you didn’t qualify NEET. Just pay the fees.”

These are fraudulent and exploitative practices. Here’s why you should never trust such claims:

  1. No valid college can offer admission without NEET qualification
  2. Your documents may be misused for illegal activities
  3. You may lose lakhs of rupees to scams
  4. Even if you receive a fake admission letter, it will be rejected by the NMC

Common Tactics Used by Scammers:

All seats require a NEET qualificationReality Check
“We have quota seats for non-qualified students”Not allowed. Admission requires the current-year NEET
“You can join and write NEET next year”Not allowed. Admission requires current-year NEET
“You’ll get admission to an AYUSH college”Illegal. You could be part of a scam.
“You’ll get admission in an AYUSH college”Even AYUSH colleges require NEET qualification

Message to Parents and Students:

We urge all students and their families:

  • Do not trust anyone promising admission without NEET qualification
  • Stay away from middlemen or unauthorized consultants
  • Do not share your documents or NEET scorecard with strangers
  • Cross-check every detail with the official MCC or AYUSH counselling portals

What to Do if You Did Not Qualify NEET 2025?

If your NEET 2025 score is below the qualifying marks:

  • Please take it as a learning experience, not a failure
  • Consider dropping a year and preparing again with a strong strategy
  • Join a good coaching or use online resources to improve
