What is the NEET Cutoff?
The NEET cut-off score is the minimum number of marks required to qualify for the NEET exam. The NEET cut-off is divided into two categories: admission cut-off and qualifying cut-off. NEET admission cut-off is the last rank at which a candidate will get admission, whereas NEET qualifying is the minimum mark that a candidate must earn to pass the exam.
Based on previous years’ data, NEET UG qualifying cutoff is based on percentile criteria rather than fixed marks; for the General/EWS category, the qualifying percentile is the 50th percentile, while for SC/ST/OBC categories it is the 40th percentile. The actual qualifying marks vary each year depending on exam difficulty and overall candidate performance, and admission to MBBS, BDS, and other medical courses in India is now conducted strictly based on NEET UG scores, as NEET has replaced all other medical entrance examinations.
