UP NEET UG 2025: Issues Policy Guidelines for MBBS/BDS Admissions 2025-26

The Uttar Pradesh Government has released a new official order with updated rules for MBBS and BDS admissions for the 2025-26 academic year. These rules apply to all government, private, and minority medical and dental colleges in the state. The order clearly explains who can apply, how admissions will be done, the role of technical support teams, how much security money students need to pay, and how the entire process will stay fair and transparent. These rules are based on NEET UG 2025 results and will be followed by all colleges in UP.

Updated Policies:

1. State Quota Allocation:
   • 85% of seats in government medical/dental colleges will be filled through the State Quota.
   • 100% of seats in private and minority colleges will be filled through UP State counselling based on NEET UG 2025 merit.
2. Online Registration & Technical Facilitation:
   • The National Informatics Centre (NIC), Lucknow is officially appointed as the technical partner for the counselling process.
   • NIC will handle tasks such as:
     • Online registration of candidates
     • Data capture and photo upload
     • Payment of registration fees/security deposits
3. Merit List Preparation:
   • The State Merit List will be prepared by the Director General of Medical Education & Training, UP (DGME) or an authorized officer, in coordination with NIC.
4. Counselling Brochure & Guidelines:
   • A detailed information brochure for UP NEET UG 2025 will be prepared by a committee at the DGME level.
   • This committee will include representatives from:
     • King George’s Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow
     • Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow
     • Government representatives
     • DGME officials

Counselling Guidelines

• Mode: Online only
• Eligibility: NEET UG 2025 qualified candidates
• Security Deposit:
  • ₹30,000 (Govt. Colleges)
  • ₹2,00,000 (Private MBBS)
  • ₹1,00,000 (Private BDS)

2. Click on the “UG Counselling” section
3. Find and open the link titled “NEET UG 2025 Counselling Notification”
4. Download the PDF and review all instructions carefully
