The NEET UG 2025 result out, the medical admission process across India is set to begin soon. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct the counselling for MBBS and BDS courses. Qualified candidates will need to register online and choose their preferred colleges. In an important update for Bihar, two new medical colleges are expected to open in Saran and Samastipur this year. This addition will increase the number of MBBS seats in the state, giving more students the opportunity to pursue medical education.
Two Types of Counselling:
- 15% All India Quota (AIQ): Admission under AIQ will be open to government medical and dental colleges across the country.
- 85% State Quota: Each state will conduct its own counselling. In Bihar, the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) will manage this process. The registration for Bihar’s state counselling is expected to start shortly.
Good News for Bihar Students!
This year two new medical colleges are likely to be established in Saran and Samastipur, which may increase the number of MBBS seats in Bihar and provide more opportunities for medical aspirants.
