NEET Rank List 2022: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the NEET 2022 merit list of the undergraduate medical exam after announcing the NEET 2022 result. The released NEET merit list 2022 will include candidates’ names, All India Rank (AIR), NEET 2022 scores (out of 720) and qualifying status. The NEET-UG merit list will be prepared based on their NEET result and individual scores. Based on rank in NEET-UG 2022 merit list, students will be called for NEET counselling for 15% of All India Quota (AIQ), 85% of state quota seats, all seats in deemed/central universities, ESIC/AFMS institutes, AIIMS and JIPMER institutes. The allotment of seats will also be done based on the NEET merit list.

NEET 2022 Cut-off (Announced)
National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET 2022) will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidate can submit their NEET Form only through online mode. NEET exam is the only gateway for admissions into different medical & dental UG courses offered by various government and private medical colleges. National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG) 2022 (NEET-UG-2022) will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA).
- Aspirants must obtain minimum qualifying marks in NEET 2022 entrance examination to qualify for the further admission process.
- Candidates who belong to SC/ ST/ OBC must obtain marks equivalent to at least 40thpercentile to be considered for AIQ and state counselling processes.
- Aspirants in the UR category are required to score equivalent to at least 50thpercentile.

Tie-Breaking For NEET Rank List 2022
If a situation arises with two or more applicants having the same ranks, tie-breaking is needed. Here are some rules for tie-breaking.
- Applicants with higher marks in biology will be given high ranks and preferred.
- If the tie still exists, a candidate with higher marks in chemistry will be given preference.
- If the tie does not break, the applicant with fewer negative marks will be prioritised.
- And if the problem still lies, the older applicant will be preferred.
How is NEET Merit List Compiled
The NEET 2022 Rank List compilation follows the guidelines directed by the Medical Council of India and the Dental Council of India.
- The eligibility is laid out as per the Graduate Medical Education Regulations 1997.
- The determination of the NEET Merit List is made up of including
- An applicant must attain minimum marks of the 50th percentile in the qualifying entrance exam, i.e., NEET 2022.
- If the candidate fails to score minimum qualifying marks, They will not be allowed for the Counselling process.
- Lastly, aspirants must have passed individually in Physics, Biology/Biotechnology, Chemistry and English. Additionally, they must have a minimum of 50% as the sum of all subjects.

Seat Allotment (Provisional Result Released)
After a few days of counselling, the allotted course and college will be sent by Mail or SMS to the candidate. The allotment will be done based on the candidate’s rank, category, and preference during counselling.
