NEET Merit List 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the NEET 2025 merit list of the undergraduate medical exam after announcing the NEET 2025 result. The NEET-UG merit list will be prepared based on their NEET result and individual scores. Based on rank in NEET-UG 2025 merit list, students will be called for NEET counselling for 15% of All India Quota (AIQ), 85% of state quota seats, all seats in deemed/central universities, ESIC/AFMS institutes, AIIMS and JIPMER institutes. The allotment of seats will also be done based on the NEET UG Merit List 2025.

Tie-Breaking For NEET Rank List 2025
If a situation arises with two or more applicants having the same ranks, tie-breaking is needed. Here are some rules for tie-breaking.
- Applicants with higher marks in biology will be given high ranks and preferred.
- If the tie still exists, a candidate with higher marks in chemistry will be given preference.
- If the tie does not break, the applicant with fewer negative marks will be prioritised.
- And if the problem still lies, the older applicant will be preferred.
How is the NEET Merit List Compiled
The NEET 2025 Rank List compilation follows the guidelines directed by the National Medical Commission and the Dental Council of India.
- The eligibility is laid out as per the Graduate Medical Education Regulations 1997.
- The determination of the NEET Merit List is made up of including
- An applicant must attain minimum marks of the 50th percentile in the qualifying entrance exam, i.e., NEET 2025.
- If the candidate fails to score minimum qualifying marks, They will not be allowed for the Counselling process.
- Lastly, aspirants must have passed individually in Physics, Biology/Biotechnology, Chemistry and English. Additionally, they must have a minimum of 50% as the sum of all subjects.
