- The applying seekers should have qualified for the NEET UG Entrance Examination.
- Aspirants must have the domicile of Andhra Pradesh.
- The applicants must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology. English is a compulsory subject with a minimum of 50% marks. 40% marks are required for SC/ST category candidates, and 45% marks are needed for Physically Handicap candidates.
- Age Criteria: The candidate should have completed 17 years as of 31-12-2025.
The candidates born on or after 02-01-2005 are not eligible for admission to MBBS or BDS Courses.

Nature of Work in Academic Section
- Consent / Provisional /Continuation of Affiliations/Recognitions:
After receiving the proposals and the Essentiality Certificate from the Government, permissions from the concerned Councils, etc., the university inspects the college as per the Statutes and receives certification from the Inspection Committee. The university grants Consent and Provisional Affiliation. For the grant of Continuation of Provisional, Affiliation University will verify all the documents etc, as per the Statutes and issue Provisional Affiliation/ Recognition orders.
Sports
Initially, Sports Activities were started with 29 affiliated colleges in this University. At present, 365 Colleges are affiliated with this University for Sports Activities.
In all the events, the first Games & Sports meet for Men & Women was conducted at Guntur Medical College, Guntur, in March 1989.
Sports Activities in this University every year for Men & Women:

Andhra Pradesh NEET Qualified Candidates Notice
All the candidates whose names are not displayed in the data list are informed that the data shown on Dr YSRUHS’s official website is based on the entries made by the candidates while uploading their application to NTA and as received from the Director-General of Health Services, New Delhi.
The desired candidates can apply as and when Dr YSRUHS issues a notification for online registration by referring to the prospectus for eligibility criteria.
The eligibility of the candidates for admission under the competent Authority Quota in Andhra Pradesh State as local/non-local candidates shall be decided on their study from 6th class to Intermediate and other certificates to be submitted along with the application as mentioned in the prospectus.
AP NEET-UG State Quota Counselling Process (Convenor Quota)
Step 1 – Login & Registration: To enter the online portal of apslsa.ap.nic.in NEET counselling, applicants can click on the link provided on this page when released. Click on the ‘APSLSA web counselling’ option, after which applicants must enter their NEET rank, roll number and registration number of the application form.
Step 2 – Choice Filling Process: The online choice filling of APSSA NEET counselling will show on the screen. A list of colleges will be available with college, college code, place, courses, and district name.
Step 3 – Saving choices: After successfully selecting your preference, fill in the details chosen and click on the ‘save’ button. An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number, which must be entered in the space provided, then click on the ‘confirm’ button. The choices filled will be locked automatically after the scheduled time of AP counselling.
