AIAPGET Counselling Process 2022: All India AYUSH Postgraduate Entrance Test, commonly known as AIAPGET, is conducted for admissions to the postgraduate courses in Ayurveda Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy. On behalf of the Ministry of AYUSH, the National Testing Agency (NTA), the Government of India, conducts the AIAPGET exam. It is conducted annually in a computer-based mode. Candidates who qualify for the Examination scoring the minimum cut-off percentile can opt for MS, MD, or PG diploma courses in the disciplines mentioned above. Admission for MS, MD, or PG diploma courses in Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy is given based on merit. Those who qualify for AIAPGET 2022 are asked for a counselling round conducted by AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC).

Quick Facts

Eligibility Criteria

We mentioned the eligibility criteria for AIAPGET Counselling, and every candidate must check this before applying.

  • Candidates in possession of BAMS/ BUMS/ BSMS/ BHMS/Graded BHMS degree or Provisional BAMS/ BUMS/ BSMS/ BHMS Pass Certificate recognized as per the provisions of the IMCC 1970/HCC 1973 Act and possessed permanent or provisional registration certificate of BAMS/ BUMS/ BSMS/ BHMS/Graded BHMS degree qualification issued by the NCISM/NCH/State Board/Universities/Deemed Universities and have completed one year of internship or/are likely to complete the internship as per the NCISM/NCH/AYUSH notification, may apply for AIAPGET through Online Application Registration system at website www.aiapget.nta.ac.in
  • Requests for appearing in AIAPGET from candidates completing an internship after the notified date or having qualifications not recognized by the competent authority shall be summarily rejected. Candidates are further advised not to canvass for the same.
  • The dates indicated by candidates regarding 12 months of Compulsory Rotating Internship, i.e. starting date, and completion date, shall be treated as final, and candidates will be required to submit the original Compulsory Rotating Internship completion certificate at the time of counselling. The cut-off date for completion of the internship towards determination of eligibility for appearing in AIAPGET shall be 31st October.
  • Some universities/institutions have regulations that candidates already pursuing any PG Course in their University or another University are not eligible for admission until they complete the course. The candidates who are already pursuing PG Courses either through the All India Quota or State Quota and are applying for a seat under All India Quota/State quota seats may confirm the eligibility conditions of that University in this regard. NTA/MoA/AIIA shall not be responsible if such candidates are refused admission. Such candidates may opt for the subject and the college at their own risk and cost. The eligibility criteria will be as per NCISM/NCH regulations and notifications of the Ministry of AYUSH, Govt of India.

AIAPGET Registration Fee

Here we mentioned the registration fee for AIAPGET Counselling.

a) Non-Refundable Registration Fee

  • Rs. 2000/- For AIQG/AIQGA/Central University-National Institute UR/OBC candidates, & Rs. 1000/- For SC/ ST/ PWD
  • Rs. 5000/- For Deemed University/All India Quota Private candidates

b) Refundable Security Fee

which will be refunded to candidates after joining the allotted college or if the candidate did not get any seat during counselling to the same account of the candidate from which payment had been made.

  • For AIQ/AIQGA / National Institute/Central University UR/OBC candidates – Rs.10,000/-
  • For SC/ST/ PWD – Rs. 10,000/-
  • For Deemed University/AIQP – Rs.50,000/-

AIAPGET Counselling Procedure

The AIAPGET Counselling starts after the commencement of the AIAPGET Result. After registering through the online application form and paying fees. You get eligible for sitting in Counselling. The counselling also occurs in two rounds and a mop-up round. Students can apply for either of them. Instructions for Round 1, Round 2 and Mop-Up Round are given below-

Round – 1

Eligibility: Only AIAPGET qualified candidates can apply for the AACCCPG counselling.

  • Step 1: Registration for AACCC-PG Counseling.
  • Step 2: Payment of Counselling Fee (Non-Refundable Registration Fee + Security Deposit
  • Money)
  • Step 3: Choice filling and locking
  • Step 4: Release of Seat allotment list (Result Publication)

Round – 2

  • Eligibility:
  • a) AIAPGET qualified candidates who have not registered in Round 1
  • b) A candidate who registered for Round 1 was not allotted any seat.
  • c) Candidates who have opted for free exit in the 1st Round.
  • d) Candidates who joined the allotted seat in the 1st Round and submitted willingness for upgradation in the 2nd Round.
  • Process:
  • Step 1: Registration for AACCC-PG Counseling. (The candidates who participated in 1st Round need not be registered again)
  • Step 2: Payment of Counselling Fee includes Non-Refundable Registration Fee + Security Money
  • (Need not paid by the candidates, those who already paid the counselling fee at the time of registration for 1st Round)
  • Step 3: Choice filling and locking
  • Step 4: Release of Seat allotment list (Result Publication)
  • Step 5: Reporting to the allotted college.

Round -3/ Mop-Up Round

  • a) AIAPGET qualified candidates who have not registered in Rounds 1 & 2.
  • b) Those who registered but were not allotted seats in Rounds 1 & 2 (No need to register
  • again.)
  • c) The candidate registered in Round-1/Round 2 & availed Free Exit.
  • d) Candidates who joined the allotted seat in the 2nd Round and submitted willingness for upgradation in the 3rd Round.
  • e) Those Candidates who leave/resign the allotted seat in the 2nd Round, with forfeiture of Security money, three days before the 3rd Round can register again with payment of complete fees.
  • Process
  • Step 1: Registration for AACCC-PG Counseling. (Those candidates participated in 1st Round/2nd
  • Round need not be registered afresh)
  • Step 2: Payment of Counselling Fee includes Non-Refundable Registration Fee + Security Money
  • (Need not paid by the candidates, those who already paid the counselling fee at the time of registration for 1st Round /2nd Round)
  • Step 3: Choice filling and locking

Final Stray Vacancy Round

To be conducted by Deemed/ National Institutes/Central Universities. (There will be No Fresh
Registration for Candidates in Final Stray Vacancy Round) AACCC will send a list of eligible registered candidates to Deemed Universities/Central Universities/National Institutes and is to be exhausted strictly in order of merit in the Stray Vacancy Round.
Further, a list of ineligible candidates will also be circulated to the concerned State/UT counselling
authorities, National Institutes/ Central Universities/ Deemed Universities for prohibiting them to
participate in any other counselling (Central/State/UT/Nominated seat, etc.).

Documents Required

The candidates must carry the following documents during the AIAPGET counselling process:

  • AIAPGET admit card
  • AIAPGET result
  • Mark Sheets of BAMS/BUMS/BHMS/BSMS

  • Internship Completion Certificate stating that the candidate has completed his/he.

Who conducts AIAPGET Entrance Exam?

 The National Testing Agency (NTA) is responsible for conducting the All India AYUSH Postgraduate Entrance Test. However, NTA’s role is limited to conducting the examination and processing the results. The admission/ counselling of NTA is under the supervision of the AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC).

What is the eligibility for AIAPGET?

A. You should hold the degree of BAMS/BHMS/BSMS/BUMS as per some provisions that can apply AIAPGET.

Who handles the AIAPGET Counselling?

AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC) conducts AIAPGET.

What is the minimum eligibility criteria/qualification for appearing in AIAPGET?

What would be the validity of the AIAPGET result?

The validity of the result of AIAPGET shall be only for the current admission session, i.e. 2022-23 for MD / MS / PG Diploma courses. It cannot be carried forward for the next admission session for MD / MS / PG Diploma AYUSH courses.

What about the condition of the Stipend/fee structure/bond amount/rendering of
service in rural/tribal areas/other conditions?

Stipend/fee structure/bond amount/rendering of service in rural/tribal area/other conditions, etc., may vary from State to State and Institute to Institute. Therefore, the candidates
should be well aware of these points before opting for a seat at ASU & H Colleges. The allotment made through the online Counseling process will be firm and final. The AACCC shall neither be responsible nor entertain any case on the above rounds if any.

How much time will be given to join the allotted course/college?

Candidates who are allotted seats will be required to join the allotted College/Course
within the stipulated time from the date of allotment as mentioned in the counselling schedule.
However, candidates are advised to join as early as possible and not to wait till the last day of joining due to the different holiday/working hours schedules in various ASU & H Colleges. Some colleges take 4 to 5 days to complete admission formalities.
