What is MBBS Admission through Management Quota?

MBBS Admission through Management Quota means seats reserved for students who did not qualify for the minimum eligibility criteria for getting a seat in the respective medical college. Management quota seats are usually filled by students who have not scored high marks in the entrance examination or have missed the deadline for application submission.

How to get MBBS Admission in Management Quota?

There will be two rounds of online counselling and if you weren’t allotted a seat before, then you can attend the MOP-UP round. All the vacant seats after round 2 counselling will be filled through the MOP-UP round and stray vacancy round. The following is the admission procedure for MBBS in Management Quota:

• NEET-UG qualification.
• Candidates can predict to which college they can get admission through state-wise cutoff according to the expected NEET score.
• Choose the state where you want to take MBBS admission.
• Register on the MCC website if you are interested in deemed universities.
• Register for counselling in the state where you prefer to join.
• In some cases, a few states will ask for security deposits ranging from Rs.1 lakh to Rs.2 lakh which will be refunded.
• Then you have to verify your documents. In some states, there is no procedure for document verification.
• College choice filling. You have to give the choice of the college you want to join.
• After choice locking, wait for the seat allotment.
• Check your name and report to the college after the seat allotment result.

Eligibility Criteria for Management Quota

• A student should reside in India, NRI, OCI, PIO, and Foreign Nationals are eligible for admission through management quota.
• Candidate must be 17 years of age.
• 10+2 in science stream with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and English.
• Candidates should have a NEET scorecard.
