    A. Yes, These seats span across a variety of PG courses including DNB in medicine, Gynaecology, Surgery, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology being some specialisations. The doctors joining these courses also signed a bond for a three year bond with the government to serve at the district hospitals at the state.

    Q: What is the stipend for MD?

    A. The stipend varies from state to state as well as in government and private colleges it differs. It may range from some 30000 to 65000. The highest salary is paid to residents at national institutes like AIIMS, JIPMER and also Delhi colleges which is near 85000.

    Q: What happens to the band signed with the gov Medical College if someone joined the Indian army before completing their working bond?

    A. You have to submit the amount mentioned on the sign in the bond papers.

    That’s why students who desire to take admission in PG courses in Medical Colleges will have to sign two separate bonds at the time of admission i.e. one for not leaving the course midway and another one for serving at least 3 years in the state after completion of their course.
